Description and Background
Description:
Don Quinn (not his real name, giving your real name gives another power over you!) is a tall, very thin, young man of Human heritage. His face is clean shaven, only having to lightly run a dagger over it every few days to keep it so. His eyes are a light blue and his hair is short and dirty blond. He does not have pleasing features and often says and does "the wrong thing" in social situations. Quinn is rash, acting without thinking things through completely, but being quite intelligent often gets away with it.
Background:
Don Quinn was an apprentice of Master Louis the Wizard of Makow until recently. His Master sent him out "for seasoning" reasoning that if Quinn could survive a year in the wilds he might come back less rash and more ready to advance in the art of wizardry. Of course, if he didn't survive that would settle things, too.
Don is a title of a low noble (landed Knight equivalent) and Quinn actually is an heir to the O'Lyle estate near the village of Lyle for to the east of here. With his father's permission he went to Master Louis for training as a Magic-User and his younger brother became squire in his place. This young man took the moniker of Quinn, by which he is known by all now, however he can't quite let go of Don. So, he is Don Quinn who treats the word as if it is just a name rather than a title.
Quinn knows he is rash and awkward. He knows he is a disappointment to his family and even to Master Louis. Stubbornly, he doesn't really care...and that is another of his shortcomings. He would much rather learn, explore and see the world than run an estate, or even hide in a tower never leaving his own mind. |
