Description and Background   
Description:
Adan is a little above average in height (5'11") and weighs between 175 and 180 pounds. He is fit, and would be described as very fit if you saw him with his shirt off, but he doesn't flaunt this. He has short brown hair that has a natural wave to it. His skin is brown and so are his eyes. In keeping with the theme of brown, Adan typically wears brown leather trousers and a unbeached tunic under his brown studded leather armor. Dark brown calf high boots and a brown cloak complete his typical wardrobe. Generally, Adan would be described as "average" and "non-descript", perfect for his profession and hiding from those that might be seeking him. Adan's defining characteristic is his quickness and dexterity. That isn't something you see just by looking. He has to be doing something before you notice. Adan is always careful to not stand out, too much.

Background:
Adan Quinn was a street urchin well on his way to a life of crime before he was arrested and sentenced to serve as a soldier in some King's army who had gone to war with some other King. He was expendable so was assigned to be a skirmisher. Adan and a small team would sneak into and out of enemy territory, gathering information and assassinating isolated soldiers (especially officers). He became really good at stealthy movement and using the hand crossbow from cover. His part in the war disgusted Adan and after a couple of years, he was able to desert and disappear into a city where he joined the local Thief's Guild. Quickly, discovering Adan's skill in stealth and his crossbow expertise the Guild put him to work as an assassin. It didn't take long for Adan to sour on this job as he found he was killing people that didn't need killing, and helping people, many of whom, deserved to be killed. It was when he was ordered to kill a man who's crime was fighting corruption in the city's government...that didn't seem right...and he had to kill him right in front of the man's two young sons. That was it for Adan, having deserted once, he did it again! He vowed that from then on he would only kill people and monsters that needed killing. Creatures that threatened and hurt innocent people. Adan has been drifting since then, moving from place to place doing menial work to keep himself feed, and killing a few monsters (human and otherwise) along the way. Recently, Adan has worked as a guard and a general seaman aboard ships working their way through The Islands. A broadsheet posted on a pub's bulletin board drew his attention...Caravan Guards Needed...up in North Port. That's where his current ship is headed next. This job promised to take him even further north. Oh, and 2 gold a day wage!
