Description and Background
Description:
Jack Sparrow

Background:
As a pirate, Ishbak occasionally had loot that needed to be turned into cash. Having 'acquired' a large selection of maps, he knew he would get the most value by trying to find someone skilled in the art of map-making who could best appreciate what he had. He came across a former cartographer named Akhtesh who was in the city of Ghazor on business. While Ishbak did not get as much for the maps as he had hoped, he and the old merchant hit it off. In exchange for a promise to leave his ships/ caravans alone, Akhtesh offered to arrange for discreet purchases of difficult to move items that Ishbak's crew might come across. This worked well for a while, until the crew decided they could make more money by raiding his ships. Ishbak argued against this decision, as they had struck a deal and should honor it. Unfortunately, his dissension earned him a long walk off a short plank. Barely surviving, he was able to make his way to shore and begin the journey to speak with Akhtesh and explain what was happening. It was when he reached Akhtesh's home that he learned of the merchant's death and his need to attend the reading of the will. Unfortunately, word had been sent to the ship Ishbak used to be on. Nobody yet knows whether the message had been delivered or not. It is quite possible the messenger may have been killed, and there is a slight possibility that a bloodthirsty pirate crew may decide to crash the reading and make their own claim.

Bad Reputation
When in a civilized settlement, can get away with minor criminal offenses, such as refusing to pay for food at a tavern or breaking down doors at a local shop, since most people will not report your activity to the authorities.
