Description and Background   
Description:
Concealed within a flowing cloak struts a lithe young man with raven black hair and a sharp beak of a nose. His eyes, also black, dart about in curiosity, even as his fingers twitch absently. At his side hangs a long sword. Strapped to his backpack is a well made lute.

Background:
Eawad hails from Shiboleth in the Gran March. His parents live there still. His father is a minor bureaucrat, his mother a part-time tavern singer. He is an only child. Growing up, his father actively encouraged Eawad's musical talents -- which he likely inherited from his mother -- in the hopes that he might become a professional minstrel. However, Eawad grew bored with the idea of being stuck in the same city all of his life. This eventually became a point of contention between Eawad and his father. Eventually, he confessed to his mother that he intended to run away. Rather than try to talk him out of it, his mother instead gave him her blessing -- and the medallion of Olidammara that she carried, to remember her by. Eawad then left home, wandering rather aimlessly, doing odd jobs or playing his lute for food and shelter as he made his way in the Flanaess.
