Description and Background   
Description:
Medium length dark brown hair, a thin mustache and beard, green eyes slightly pointed ears like all half-elves do. Muscular arms, legs and back though a little soft in the belly. A tattoo on left forearm of a tree: A tattoo of a wolf on the right forearm:

Background:
Tomlin orphaned as a child by his father (human) a drunkard that couldn't afford to feed two children and himself, however his mother (elf) died giving birth to his brother (Valin). Never knowing much about either of his biological parents Tomlin only knows the life he was able to learn. Being orphaned as a child at age 7 and having to take care of his baby brother, Tomlin managed to find a church that was able to take them in with some of the other orphan children however it was not until Tomlin reached the age of 13 before a family adopted both him and his brother. The family a woodsman (Norros) and his wife a baker (Alivyre). Tomlin's adoptive father taught him and his brother Valin the ways of the woods, how to track game, walk in the woods without making noise. How to look for signs of animals and identifying them by their markings and leavings. He also taught them how to build a fire, and a lean-to, and basic survival and camping. This was of great interest to Tomlin and inspired him to become a Ranger. His brother Valin went a different path and joined the town guard boot camp. Later becoming a entry level town guard on a regular patrol group. As for the tatoos that Tomlin has he has always felt that he related to the wolf. He has even been told that his spirit animal or guide is the wolf. The Tree tatoo is two things reminds him of his elf heritage and his love for nature and the woods. Tomlin is often travelling with his mule (Sasha), the ranger is never seen riding the mule. Tomlin has a pack saddle and merely uses the mule to help carry the load of gear he takes along with him.
