Background:
Jaskar grew up middle class. His father ran a caravan outfitting business, coordinating with various merchant groups to arrange pack animals, guides, and guards. Jaskar did not have a mind for the business side of the operation, but began accompanying the caravans from a young age, where he learned mapping and tracking. He found he preferred life outside the city walls. While away one such trip, the family's house caught fire, leaving him an orphan. His much brighter older brother Lopar now runs the struggling business. Jaskar has chosen to seek his fortune elswhere. He hopes to someday accomplish his father's dream of establishing a trading outpost in the foothills.
