Description and Background
Description:
Ringmail Armor Shield Ustaim is tall and lean. His pale, blonde hair is very fine and long, hanging down past his shoulders. His eyes are grey, the color of a blade's edge. Over his ring armor he wears a fur cloak made of wolf pelts. His heavy mittens, boots, and hat are also fur from wolf pelts.

Background:
Ustaim is from the land of Tharag Thulan, the snowy hill-lands north of Lamu. There he learned to hunt and fish and to survive on his own in the wilderness. Ustaim was born during a full moon and so was considered by his tribe to be favored by the Moon God. In return, Ustaim is to strive to be worthy of the Moon God's favor. Those that were spared --including Ustaim, his sisters, and Viney the crone-- were carried off to Lamu in chains. In Lamu, Ustaim and his sisters were separated. Though he fought fiercely to fend off the slave-traders, he was not yet the man he would become and could only watch, tearful and red-faced, filled with impotent rage, as they took his sisters away to be sold to the Temples of Belet-Lil. He vowed then to someday find and free his sisters and have bloody vengeance upon the slavers. The Lamuran slave-traders were impressed by young Ustaim’s ferocity and sold the boy to Khazistani noblemen who had come looking to purchase warriors to compete in the arenas at Zul-Bazzir. The noblemen also bought Viney the crone; their house was in need of a cook. In Zul-Bazzir, at the noble’s house, Ustaim was trained to become a gladiator. Viney worked in the kitchen, but was also employed as an herbalist, physician, and seer. Sometimes Ustaim and Viney were allowed to visit and on those occasions Viney would continue to teach Ustaim the mysteries of the Moon God. Shortly after Ustaim’s 18th birthday, his training was complete and he entered th
