Description and Background    Description: Kiri isn't so much huge as what you might get if you jammed an ogre or a hill giant into a six foot one inch barrel. He's solid and quite literally as strong as a man can be. Luckily - for his friends, at least - he's also somewhat quiet, even tempered and quick to smile if not to laugh. He's loyal, but he doesn't brook rudeness or nonsense from fools, friends or not. Eccentric looking in his exotic half armor and toting an assortment of odd, eastern versions of familiar weapons, with obscurely designed charms dangling from straps here and there, he clanks and tinkles ever so slightly when he moves - not entirely unpleasantly. Around his neck he wears a likeness of a scowling face, hung upside down, which he seems to hold in some reverence. Background: From a rural village in the far east terraced hills of Kambuja, Kiri comes from a family of fierce warriors, each generation larger and more imposing than the last. Kiri is the culmination of generations of this trend, only he's not content to fully embrace the role. His grandfather, with whom he was very close, secretly dabbled in practical battle magic and unknown to Kiri's father, introduced him to the basics of the craft. On his death, Kiri, having learned all he could in his home village, set out to see what useful spells he might learn elsewhere, accompanied by a likeness of his grandfather in the form of a medallion that hangs from his neck. In the meantime, he uses his warrior skills to get by, hiring himself out to caravans in need of muscle.
