Cantrips
|
--Slippery as a fish
Duration: instant
Area of effect: a maximum surface of 2x2 feet.
The caster spits at anything, and that surface instantly becomes super slippery for a very short time - enough for somebody's feet to slip, or for a rope to slip off of the caster's hand. The casting range is obviously dependent on the caster's spitting ability...
--Clear water
Duration: 1-4 minutes
Save: none
The caster gazes on a calm water surface for a short time, letting his eyes embrace the smooth clarity of the liquid, then washes his face with it. This enhances vision for 1-4 minutes. This can mean better vision in darkness, or higher perception skills by normal light conditions.
--Leak or not
Duration: 3 rounds
This cantrip makes a material that is usually water-resistant/repellent let liquid through. It can be reversed.
It can ONLY be used on these two objects: clay jugs (causing them to leak) and fishing nets (causing them to hold water) for a short period of time.
--Reef Stinger
Range: touch
A quick electric discharge, akin to that of an eel. No damage (unless the target is wet, in that case 1-2 damage). Can be used for distraction or warning.
--Conch
Effects one person (either the caster (no save) or somebody humanoid (gets to save))
This cantrip causes the target to hear that specific reverberating 'sound of the ocean' you usually experience when you put a conch to your ear. It's loud enough to be a distraction, or to break concentration even.
Jónas, on the other hand, has another use for it as well: he casts it on himself, to reach a sort of a trance-like dreamstate he LOVES. He also uses it to cancel out the insults shouted at him.
When he casts it on himself, he can either enter into a meditative state, or do some simple, repetitive tasks in the meantime. E.g. he drifts of, while his hands are still moving and he keeps punching holes into leather belts.
But when he casts it on somebody else, he needs to concentrate to maintain the effect, and cannot act in the meantime. |
