Description and Background   
Description:
Angella is a petite woman for human standards, standing at only 5 feet and 1 inch tall. She dresses in the emerald green monks robes of her order and covers herself in a white wolf fur cloak with a fur lined hood. She wears her wavy fiery red hair long to her waist, and her eyes are a sparkling emerald colour. Angella has pale alabaster skin and a smattering of freckles across her face. She is lithe but toned and carries a sling at her belt and a halberd as tall as she in her right hand, using it as a walking stick when not fighting.

Background:
Angella was born to a semi wealthy family and her mother passed away from a plague when she was very little. Her father was struck by her stubborn nature and after many nannys ran screaming from his mansion he finally decided that some solid discipline was in order. He enrolled his petite 10 year old daughter to the local monestary and the monks there, seeing her penchant for rules and stubborn nature eagerly took her in and began the serious regime of becoming a novice. Angella took to monastic life incredibly well, getting the discipline and order that she craved and needed, and the petite fiery haired girl eventually blossomed into the strong and capable young woman she is now. Many are disarmed by her small frame and gentle demeanour, for she still carries the residue from her privellaged upbringing, manners and etiquette matter strongly to her. Gifted with some enchanted bracers by the head of her order before her life's journey began, Angella has been travelling in search of enlightenment ever since.

Monks are less likely to be surprised. At first level they are as likely as any other. 32 chance at second level and then -2 per level there after. Angella currently is only 30 likely to be surprised, translating to 3in10 chance on a d10.
Monks can avoid missile/thrown weapons by deflecting them. The monk must make a save verses petrifaction to be successful. Currently Angella must roll 12 or more on a d20 to be successful.
Monks can evade damage from fireballs/breath weapons/lightning bolts etc, and if successful take NO damage. The monk must roll a successful saving throw vs petrification to succeed. Currently Angella needs to roll a 12 or more on a d20 to do so.
Monks open hand attacks can stun a humanoid opponent if it rolls to hit with 5 or more on a d20 than the minimum necessary. Stunning lasts for 1d6 rounds when successful
When a monk stuns an opponent they have a chance to kill their opponent outright. This percentage chance equals the opponents armour class, increased by the monks level over 7th level.
