Description and Background   
Description:
A tiny guy at 3’3”, Telkis is nonetheless pretty stacked, as it were. A miniscule bundle of muscle and sinew, lithe and wiry like a puma, or perhaps a very, very muscular meerkat. He’s young for a Gnome at 73, with wild and unkempt dark blond hair and a beard that always seems to be vaguely pointing somewhere. Perhaps his most striking feature is his smile – in place of normal teeth he sports the brass, rather intimidating ones of his adopted clan.

Background:
Telkis is small, even for a Gnome, so when he was sent to the Brassfang Dwarf Clan in a cultural exchange, a means by which the Gnomes and Dwarves in that area of the Grand Duchy of Geoff promote goodwill and round out the training of their youngsters, the Dwarves at first believed they’d gotten the short end of the stick. They were soon proved wrong, however, for Telkis, though indeed short, and though he was good natured and fun-loving, soon proved scrappy and adept at all manner of fighting. The Dwarves quickly took to calling him him Gnome Fury and marveled at the little swirling dust cloud’s ferocity. Amongst them his accuracy with the dagger and the short bow was unmatched. When it came time to return to his Gnome village, he chose instead to stay with the Brassfangs to continue his training. So pleased were they with young Telkis that they adopted him as one of their own and when the time came initiated him in the Brassfang ceremony. His training has now entered the “Wander Smack” phase (a term difficult to translate from the Dwarvish) in which he must wander abroad and “put the smack-down” on an unspecified number of foes before returning. He knows the number, and keeps a mental note.
