Description and Background
Description:
Ol' Pete Vandergreuden (or Weasely Pete as he is better known) is not exactly a handsome man. The many years of living alone in the wilderness has made his appearance rather rough and animal like. His left eye is in a constant state of squint, as if he is giving a permanent 'stink-eye'. His skin is heavily tanned and badly wrinkled. His look and demeanor could both be considered quite gruff.

Background:
Pete was the bastard son of a dancing girl that lived back in Amarilla. By the time he was old enough for his first chaw, his whore momma had done run off fer good. That left Pete a teenage orphan, but he wasn't having nuthin ta do with no church or orphanage. He hooked himself up as a gopher for a group of hunters and by the time he was 20 years old, he knew most every huntin and trappin trick in the hills. Pete had little in the way of civilized manners and ended up getting his heart broke by one too many of the fancy, sought after girls he tried to suitor. He left society for a good long while and headed back up into the hills that he knew so well. One day Ol' Pete was walking a dried river bed and saw something shiny in the dirt. To his amazement, what he found was a gold nugget nearly as big as his thumb. Well Pete knew that he just found hisself a small fortune and proceeded directly back into the nearest town and blew every penny on whisky, opium, and loose females. That was the beginning of the end for Pete, he had gotten the fever bad after that. Sadly, he never found anything close to that first score ever again. One things fer sure, he never passes up an opportunity to do a little diggin and pannin when he gets the chance.
