Description and Background
Description:
Comeliness: 15 Coppish Freunt is a High Elf with dark hair and fair skin; he is tall for his people. Coppish is a thoughtful, cunning warrior, who uses his stealth and skill with weapons to great effect in battle. He is typically on the 'outside looking in' no matter what company he is in, but he can still manage to blend in and make friends due to his natural charisma and easy-going nature. It just takes him a little longer to warm up to people. He is a casual observer of worship of CORELLON LARETHIAN, but it was not always so. In his youth he was a most pious and devout follower, but as he got older he became cynical and disillusioned, which has put a distance between he and his deity. But deep down he yearns to regain the faith he once held in his childhood.

Background:
Coppish received martial training to prepare him to be a scout - very stealthy but capable with a sword in a pinch. However, in learning the art of subtlety, stealth, and other thieving abilities, he also picked up a nasty habit with his new skills: sometimes taking things that don't belong to him. He will not steal from friends, and not necessarily from party members who are not friends - but that may change depending on the nature of the relationship. While he is average height for a human, for an elf he is very tall - a fact that made him self-conscious growing up. His profession outside of adventuring is using the potter's wheel to create cooking and dining ware.

Notes
Special abilities
Elves are 90 resistant to Charm and Sleep. Elves have the ability to see into the infra-red spectrum, so they are able to see up to 60' in darkness, noting varying degrees of heat radiation.
Secret or concealed doors are difficult to hide from elves. Merely passing within 10' of the latter makes an elven character 16 2/3 (1 in 6) likely to notice it. If actively searching for such doors, elven characters are 33 1/3 (2 in 6) likely to find o secret door and 50 likely (3 in 6) to discover a
concealed portal.
If alone and not in metal armor (or if well in advance- 90' or more - of a party which does not consist entirely of elves and/or halflings) an elven character moves so silently that he or she will surprise (q.v.) monsters 66 2/3 (d6, 1 through 4) of the time unless some portal must be opened in order to confront the monster. In the latter case the chance for surprise drops to 33 1/3 (d6, 1-2).
