Description and Background
Description:
~ Biblo Phyle at different points in his life ~

Background:
Biblo Phyle is a man of many interests, mental and martial. Some call him renaissance man, others a dilletante. His voracious interests have brought him down many paths. Underlying his diverse thirsts is his bibliomania, an excessive interest if not obsession with books, scrolls and paper ephemera. Early in his career he worked at various libraries; was bodyguard then assistant to two sage sorcerers and a divinist; and often traveled abroad himself or on behalf of sages to acquire written material and spell components. It was during one such trip that he became touched in the head with a malady of many souls. It's not known how Biblo became mad, some say it was his claimed encounter with god in the woods, or his head injury in a scribe shop, or that time he fell off a horse. Whatever the cause, Biblo goes through periods of personality shifts that can be extreme. It was then that Biblo became unemployable and took up a life of intellectual freebooting, ostensibly to indulge his own book collecting and study of mystic lore. Biblo was born in Khromarium. In his normal state of mind he worships Apollo, and secondarily Lunaqqua. However, his other personas acknowledge different gods. Biblo bears membership in the following guilds: The Jabbering Sodality of Dirge Scribes, The Learned Coven of Librarians, the Eldritch Brethen of Antiquarian Arcanists, and the Shining Illuminati of Phantasorcercers. Though he is a generally goodly soul, Biblo has been sorely tested and tempted to steal books. How this will play out in the future is uncertain.

Portrait of a Schizophrenic
Biblo is eccentric at best, unbalanced at worst, and on occasion seemingly changes personality type. Whatever the cause, Biblo goes through periods of personality shifts that can be extreme. Schizophrenia: Under periods of stress may undergo personality change:
