Description and Background
Description:
Grendon is 18 years old, but due to his early life he is short and skinny (5'4' and 115 lbs). He has brown eyes, and keeps his face shaven and his black hair short. At first glance he is often thought to be younger than he truly is. He speaks with a quiet but confident voice. He wears ordinary travelling clothes, a cloak, and leather armour covered by a yellow surcoat with the sun-symbol of Eilynne embroidered upon it. His trusty club hangs from his belt.

Background:
Grendon is an orphan who never knew his parents. He grew up in the city of Gothmoor and lived on the streets. From a young age he roamed with the packs of almost-feral children that lived in the poorer parts of town, living on their wits, luck and through petty pilfering. As he grew-up he was taken into one of the many thieves guilds. At the age of 14 a job went wrong and his friends were killed. He fled the city, hiding in a wagon. Trying to find a new life he eventually found his way to Bretto. Already tired and malnourished, for the next 3 weeks he survived by barely pilfering enough food and sleeping in barns and outhouses. The townsfolk caught him and turned him over to the high priestess of Eilynne. The priestess was going to turn him over to the town guards but saw something in him. Instead she offered him a job doing odd jobs at the church, which would pay for room and board and also pay back what he stole from the towns folk. He was not forced to endure any religious ceremonies, the priestess simply talked to him and encouraged him to be a better person. After 6 months he was attending church services every day of his own volition and within a year he took religious vows. After taking his vows he decided that he would put his previously shady skills to a more noble use and become a scout and spy for the church. He decided to travel to Weston as it resonated with his early life and he felt he could do some good spreading the word.
