Background:
Iluq was shunned from an early age when it was determined that he did not possess the innate magic resistance of his kind. Perhaps the accusations of some non-drow blood in his lineage were true, for the ceaseless taunts did not turn him more evil and chaotic, but brought out some semblance of good in him. When still an adolescent, the Lone Wolf took notice of him and led him astray from his family in a labyrinth of giant mushroom tunnels int he underdark. A ragtag group of svirfneblin took the young Iluq in until he could no longer pass for a child. Iluq kept a statuette of Fenmarel close, which he had from his earliest memories, and venerated it and wrote down what little he had been taught of the paranoid deity. Fenmarel eventually took some notice again, and when Iluq needed to leave the svirfneblin, he watched Iluq's trek through the Underdark to the surface. When the young dark elf managed to make it to the surface, Fenmarel caused Iluq to find a small cache of items, including a holy symbol of Fenmarel, and granted him powers as a priest of his.
