Description and Background   
Description:
This young woman has the classic dusky-olive skin, brown eyes, and flowing dark hair of the pure Ixian race. She stands at 5'7" with a medium build, draped in the loose, dark-blue cotton dress and simple bronze jewellery favoured by the nomads of the plains. If she were to dress less modestly, one might observe the muscle tone in her smooth arms and legs, or spot the edge of an arcing tattoo on her chest. She wears a sturdy belt, hung with pouches and long darts, and holds a dark ironwood staff whose tip is carved roughly into the shape of an egg.

Background:
Magda is from a family with modest land on Scythium and herds of aurochs and sheep. She 'showed the gift' at age 11 and was accepted into one of the island's many covens of witches and wizards. Over time she embraced this coven's belief that the twin moons Phobos and Selene were showing portents of great political change. If they could divine the correct noble house to support, they could become the most powerful sorcerous faction in Fazuum... Upon turning 18, Magda set out to find further signs and portents, as well as to collect any spells or artefacts that might help her cause. She has already visited the coastlands of Sharath and encountered a Ghost Ship in the northern seas. At that time she was on board the Ixian cog Erinyes, as the first mate's lover. She soon tired of this dalliance and decided to come ashore at Xambaala. Her latest plan is to gain an audience with the Witch-Queen of Yithorium, but in the meantime, she is looking into the rumour of a strange desert hermit called the Matron.
