Description and Background

Description:
Whisper is slight in stature but solidly built like a dancer or a gymnast. Standing barely 5 feet tall, she walks the undercity with the confidence of an apex predator and very, very, few stand in her way. She's built a reputation as a midwife who is no better friend and no worse enemy. Woe betide any who threaten her charges.

Background:
Whisper's true family abandoned her at birth and left her to live or die with the midwives. The blood of Ishkrah is in her veins and she bears an hourglass birthmark above her navel. At 13 Whisper was plucked from the undercity and bonded to a cruel Aelfir mistress. She had Whisper trained as a duelist in secret in order to embarrass her husband by defeating his champion in unarmed combat at a high festival. Sickened and shamed by the years of senseless killing that followed, mostly of other Drow duelists like herself, she returned to the Midwives after her release and has pledged her soul to Ishkrah, dark goddess of many eyes. She is determined to bring down the Aelfir by any means necessary.

Martyr, once per session if an ally takes fallout you appear nearby so long as it would be even slightly feasible for you to do so. They ignore the effects of the fallout, and you take D6 stress to an appropriate resistance instead.

Protector's Eye: Ancient instincts, bound into you by forgotten sorcery, give you a measure of what a person really cares about. Once per situation, ask the GM what a particular NPC wishes to protect above all else.
