Description:
From afar you might notice Innana's height first, but up close the warrioress's most striking feature is her shock of red hair. Although she tries to keep her wild tresses contained in leather bands down the length of her back and concealed under a dark blue hooded cloak, you can still see wisps of her red curls escape to catch the light. Innana has sharp facial features -- strong, high cheekbones, a deep dimple in her chin, and a splash of freckles that crosses her nose and accents her cat green eyes. Also, there are her tattoos, nine small swirls that start above her left eye and make their way around her temple. The swirls are the blue of woad and well defined, etched permanently upon her pale skin.
Innana has a beautiful smile, but it is seldom seen. However, she can't help but feel at home when there are jokes and good-natured ribbing. She is not talkative, but when she does speak, a distinctly accented voice is heard, divulging her upbringing was in a far away land. Her surname is Sureblade, an apt name, as it seems that Innana has some sort of blade hidden everywhere upon her person. The biggest blade she keeps is a sword strapped to her back, and is usually hidden under her blue cloak. But the majority of her blades are daggers. When Innana is not busy, she will probably be throwing her blades at some unfortunate tree that plays target for her, or she will be practicing patterned movements that resemble a dance, incorporating the use of her sword and dagger. When Innana takes off her cloak, shining plate armor can be seen. Like her tattoos, the metal of her armor is etched with swirls and spirals throughout. Even her blades carries these signature runes.
Background:
Innana was the youngest of ten children, and the only girl. Her father came from a long line of metal smiths, and her mother was a master at leatherwork, teaching Innana much of what she now knows of those crafts. Innana's family was very close to the elves, and so her second language had become their mellifluous speech. All nine of her brothers were killed when their village was invaded by orcs, trying to seize control of the borderlands of the elves and humans. Innana was taken captive and sold as a slave, but as soon as she got her hands on a blade, she was able to fight her way out of captivity. Innana has not been without a blade since that time. Innana tattooed a spiral on her face in remembrance of each of her brothers whom she loved. It is a reminder to her that they await her on the other side, and this brings calm to Innana concerning her own eventual death. In the meantime, she would like to earn her way into her brothers' company once again, bringing plenty of good fighting stories and jokes to share! |
