He was well known as a child for his curiosity and love of lore, spending long hours studying old tomes and maps. As the shadow in the east started growing the decision to move to more peaceful lands was made and his family made preparations. Cerdic however decided to stay and continue the studies he was working on, hoping to learn some way to stem the tide of evil gradually overcoming greenwood. As the forest became more and more evil he finally decided to leave his beloved home and venture out into the wild-lands, hoping to travel to Rivendell to continue his studies.
