Description and Background    Description: Yulia is tall with a muscular, athletic build. She has very short curly black hair. Her normally brown skin is weathered and tanned to an even darker shade. Bright green eyes and a ready smile contrasts her rugged appearance. Background: Yulia's parents were teamsters who worked on the caravan routes. As was common practice, she travelled with them and learned their trade from a young age. At age nine, her life changed when a large band of Orc raiders overwhelmed their caravan. Yulia was saved by the arrival of Ranger Lord Hamond Kytsav, but it was too late for the rest of caravan crew. Yulia was the only survivor. Because of that tragic day, Yulia developed a deep hatred of Orcs. But those events also inspired her to become a Ranger. Hamond took young Yulia to his stronghold, a wonderful tree fortress. It was supposed to be a temporary measure until a suitable foster home or orphanage could be found. Instead, Yulia spent 15 years at the stronghold, first as Hamond's ward, then as a Ranger-trainee, and finally as a Ranger working with his followers on various missions. She has learned to control her hatred of Orcs, after her actions caused the death of Hamond's son, a Half-Elf Ranger. Recently, Hamond received word of a strange blight inflicting a distant region beyond his area of influence, so Yulia decided to investigate on her own. She has made her way close to the troubled area by using her teamster skills or acting as a guard on caravans.
