Description and Background
Description:
Sun-tanned skin, dark mane of hair, light brown eyes, muscled with nary an ounce of fat on him. Coenbeorht is often mistaken for an unkempt, rather short teenager from a distance. Coenbeorht "worships" the Goddess Vash, a distant deity whose attention isn't very recommended, though she has been known to grant boons to her champions, if only to take it away a short time later.

Background:
Coenbeorht is a member of the Half-Ones, a band of Halfling Thralls at the service of the Keltabrii tribe who makes their home in the volcanic hills around the northenmost city of Feras. No one remembers exactly when the Half-Ones came into the north or how they became Thralled to the Keltabrii. What everyone in Feras knows is that they are very unorthodox halflings: taller than most, aggressive, adventurous, lecherous, hard drinkers and with muscled thews instead of guts of fat and looking much more like feral children than effete Shire dwellers in nice Sunday clothes. They still prefer 3 meals a day; preferably roasted meat eaten clean of the bone. Offers of pies, tea, crumpets or any such nonsense will be met with derisive laughter or an ax to the groin...depending on the mood and intoxication of the Half-One. In battle the Half-Ones are vicious, sneaky and unforgiving; masters of outdoors ambush given their ability to hide amid the terrain. They prefer fighting with hand axes, throwing hammers and slings shooting caltrops smeared in dung to cause infected wounds. Like most barbarians, the Half-Ones have a love/hate relationship with civilization and a singular dislike for their "fancy-pants" hole-dwelling southern cousins. One that kills a kobold, goblin or any other such creature by his own hand is elevated from thralldom to become a true Keltabrii. Coenbeorht did just that recently, shattering the knee of his enemy with an well-aimed ax blow, gaining a surname and ceasing to be a mere Thrall.
