Description and Background
Description:
An unassuming young man, with black hair and dark, olive skin. He has an affable, friendly demeanor but deeply unsettling grey eyes. Three parallel scar lines rest next to his right eye. Background:
Guy was born on a backwater moon to a backwater planet that was rarely traveled. The planet was an (almost) abandoned failed colony that was too far from any stars of note for any notice to paid to it. It's moon was more able to sustain life than the planet itself so when that first terraforming ship failed, half the population jumped ship to the moon seeming to doom both settlements to extinction. It was a bad place for an orphan – with a glaring lack of infrastructure and a borderline semblance of responsibility and just an overwhelming desire to survive getting people through the day. When he was six, a merchant ship stopped by the planet and Guy went with them. It might have been an act of mercy, an act of survival, or it might have been the people selling anything they could for some resources – Guy had told it all three ways and more depending on what he needed from the listener. Within a month, Guy had moved hands from the merchant to an entertainment vessel – The Golddigger. For the next two years and for the first time in his life, Guy was truly happy. He felt like he like he belonged – he befriended other children, he began schooling, and he had steady meals. By the time he was 8, the Golddigger was overtaken by a pirate frigate and every adult on the ship was brutally murdered. The children were brought to serve. For the last 20 years, Guy had been a crew member of the Darwin's Law until a recent shift in the hierarchy led to the ship's demise. Guy and several were imprisoned in port for some trifling offense as they watched their home and livelihood fall to some political machination. Some went to join other captains, Guy opted to try and gather his own crew. A shadowy figure approached Guy with an offer too good to pass up – it was a simple job but shook Guy's former pirate faction to its core – eliminating the 11 remaining pirate captains that had turn on and slaughtered Guy's own captain and crew. Guy was left in the spotlight, earning sector-wide renown when he claimed all 11 bounties |
