Description and Background
Description:
The Grugach elves are the strangest and wildest of all the elves. They are outcasts of Wild Elf societies. They are the strongest of the elven races, tenacious in battle, and generally hate outsiders. They withdrew long ago into the deepest darkest forests to live in harmony with the land. They shun all other races, including other Elven races. Any intruder is met with swift action. Those bent on ill gains are met with blade; those who wander in accidentally are subdued and taken far away to the outer edge of civilized areas.
At some point during their evolution they lost their natural ability to harness the supernatural powers that radiate through the universe. Evolution eventually rendered them, for the most part, immune to certain magical effects. Occasionally a Grugach is born with innate magical abilities. These individuals are often shunned from their native communities and eventually travel beyond their domain to seek guidance in their newfound ability.
Grugach excel in all things wilderness, at least those of the forest kind. They pride themselves in tracking, hunting, and trap making. They are extremely knowledgeable about all things plant and animal in their native forests.

The Owlbear had gotten a taste for elf flesh from eating his parents and backtracked to the village. Over half of the village was slaughtered and dragged off by the beast. The village elder saw Aramis's trial as a dark omen, As a result Aramis was ostracized by his community from that day forth few amongst his people would talk to him. He worked hard for a long time to regain the villages trust. The day came when he heard rumor of a group of warriors to be tasked with hunting down the Owlbear. Aramis knew he had to be among those chosen so he pleaded with the village elder. The elder told Aramis that he would allow him to partake in the hunt on one condition. Aramis must leave the village and never come back once the Hunt was over. Aramis was crestfallen, he did not know what he would do in the world alone but he knew he could survive and that made him strong. He agreed to the Elders condition.
