Description and Background   
Description:
Geert is tall for a halfling, grim-faced and worn looking. He's tougher even than he looks and keeps his trained guard dog, Aggie, always nearby. Geert bristles with weaponry when adventuring, but he likes to kick back and have a good time like any halfling does.

Background:
Geert was a runaway who became a soldier in one of the recent border wars. He made his way as a scout and grew battle-hardened at seeing so much death. Nothing much rattles Geert now. Maybe that's why he looks for adventure, to be rattled and feel alive again.
